Tucking in for Winter

We hope you all had a Happy Halloween and are getting ready for Thanksgiving.

The warm weather this week has us out in the fields removing the plastic mulch and tilling the soils to prepare them for their winter naps. If you haven't gotten to it, it's your last chance to plant your perennials and bulbs. We have mulched the strawberries and the cover crops are all sprouted. Jay is anxiously awaiting the new seed catalogs so he can pick the exciting new items for next season. We also received a few new seeds for the winter shares and we are planting and waiting to see how they grow in the greenhouse under the row covers. The salad greens and spinach leaves have just started to show their green color above the soil. We will be offering you fluffy white potatoes for the month of November. Just in time for your Thanksgiving gravy. The Pie pumpkin can be used for pie, pumpkin seeds or for table decoration.

The Farm stand is officially closed so if you need any additional Thanksgiving items or if you want to store more of the items you are receiving today, just leave us a phone message and we can arrange to have it packed and waiting for you. Please give us 24 hour notice.

Enjoy your fresh vegetables and produce.
